The 10 Best Dog-Friendly Places in Portland

Dog-Friendly Places in Portland

Never leave the dog behind. That’s my motto as a new dog mom to a cheeky and adventurous golden retriever puppy named Whiskey. As a Portland local, I’m rediscovering the city through Whiskey’s eyes. In the short time he’s been a part of the family, we’ve made a pack of new friends and discovered that exploring Portland is just more fun with him by our side. Walking a block may take a half hour, but it’s about the journey, right? (Only a cat person can resist that handsome face.)

As one of the most pet-friendly travel destinations in the United States, Portland boasts plenty of cafes, parks, and breweries to ensure that no pup misses out on the fun. I find that well-behaved, leashed pups are welcome at most casual outdoor patios and spaces but it’s always a good idea to ask ahead of time.
